I guess flying is the only way right? I mean without driving myself.
Thanks

It seems either a new home or the pound. Why wouldn't you fly a pit, if
properly prepared?

That isn't a very long trip put him on the airlines if you even care
about your dog. What's wrong with you can't you handle a five hour
drive? Find a new home or a pound are you nuts? Oh excuse me heartless
or either just dum one.

Actually it's to Seattle. I just didn't want to get too specific. I'm not a
pit bull fan and we kept the dog for a friend who wants it back but can't
get it there. The pit killed a neighbor's cat and has tried to bite me
although not since moving in. I know you love your dogs and so does she. I
don't however but I'm trying to find the best way to get her to her owner.
The dog has bitten the owner (by accident while playing) and two of her
three kids (by accident) and a neighbor child who needed stitches (5 year
old's fault for bothering the dog while it was eating). People think I'm
crazy for the number of cats I have and they just don't understand how
important pets are to some of us, but honestly I think I'm going way out of
my way to try to help a dog that means nothing to me except for the feelings
of those that love her, with the exception that she is a threat to my own
pets.

Strange way to end a thread, but it's ok with me.

I have flown one of my dogs once many years ago, and I don't think I would
do it again. The poor thing was medicated based on the vets recommendations,
and I could hear her barking all through the flight. She was quite skittish
after that.

I recently moved across the country, and had everything shipped except one
SUV that we used to drive across with our 3 dogs (2 pits, one Newfoundland).

Just my own experiences. I'm sure others have flown their dogs and were
successful.
