And if she goes under the bed or in a closet to hide, just leave her
be. She won't starve or dehydrate. It's just her way of coping until
she feels comfortable with the other animals in the house. I have had
cats do this for what has seemed like days on end, and they creep out
at night, under the radar, so to speak, to get some food/water, and go
right back to their hiding place afterwards... or another favorite
thing of "new" pets to do is to explore the new territory at night when
they think all the other animals are sleeping (which doesn't always
work out that way, I'll admit!).
