At my Baptisia (false blue indigo) and (I think) a daylily..

I've only ever seen ruby throats here, so I'll assume it is one of those. It
was so late in the evening, that I could not get a good look beyond the
bright throat and dark back.

Well, in central NC, I spotted one today, but they have been rare this year.
She was a female ruby throat. Maybe the earlier ones were migrants, and I
now have a resident. Hope she finds a mate.
