I have an overweight (only slightly) sort of large cairn terrier cross who's
pulled a muscle when playing with the other dogs. It's obviously not
bothering him much but he's limping slightly.
Is there any sort of human anti inflammatory etc I can give him? I'm in the
UK
(Of course if he's still limping in a couple of days I'll take him to the
vet but he's fine in all other respects)

NO........... It's ok to give him 1 buffered aspirin but that's as far as it
goes. And I wouldn't do that without consulting your vet first. Anything
stronger can harm his kidneys & liver. If he's still limping he needs to be
seen by a vet and prescribed an anti-inflamatory that is made for dogs.
