A 10-inch snake, which is black triangle head and brown body, went to my
house via gap between door and frame last night. Then it finally left my
house through the same gap. My question is how I can prevent it from
entering my house and why it came. Is this right forum posting this kind of
question?

Or give it a little pet from me and a kiss on it nose (unless
it's venomous!). And feed it a pinky. Hey, this group is about
pet snakes, not pest snakes! ;-)

Sorry, could't resist. ;-p

Seal the opening. It is looking for warmth or food: remove both. After
determining it is not venomous, GENTLY capture it and move it several miles
away.
