hot flashes

do dogs have hot flashes? we have a 13 year old brittany spaniel and it
seems like lately at night she is resless and pants a lot. she is on
ppl and has been for many years for leakage. our doctor just had it
increased to 3 pills a day. that seems to help the licking she had
been doing. could the restlesness be a sympton of the additional
medication?
