I have a baby and need to find good and loving homes for my two dear
cats. They are a mother and son. Both are neutered/spayed and
declawed. Both are indoor short-hair tailless cats. They are
approximately 11 and 12 years old. If anyone in Massachusetts or
southern Vermont/New Hampshire are interested, please respond.

Please reconsider. Is there any way to keep the cats? You can raise a child who
will grow to be an animal lover!

Why do you need to rehome them?

Also be aware that the presense of pets in the home seems to
make for better immune systems and less allergies for the baby
in later life.

Sorry about that first response. I live in Massachusetts too. If you
want. E-mail me. I can give you some phone numbers especially if you
don't live to far from my area-but why can't you keep them?

Getting rid of a cat because of a baby is a bad excuse. Did you know this is
one of the most used excuses by those dumping a cat into a shelter or on the
streets? Why would you dump these cats because of this new human child? It
may be helpful to know that by your cats staying that your child can develop
an immunity to the dander later in life. I hope you will reconsider because
these cats are most likely bonded to you and do not deserve to be dumped
someplace else simply because a human child has arrived.
