dog hit by car on I-64 EB

Hi

I work for AAA auto club (not VA area ) I got an out of area call from a
mbr that hit a dog--beagle or basset hound-- EB I-64 between the first two
scenic overlooks East of Waynesboro VA, she said she saw the dog run off to
the side of the hwy but was unable to pull over (?), go figure


I looked up the number for Animal Control in the area and gave it to her. A
few minutes later unbelievably she called back and I got the call again, she
said the number was to the police and they just transfered the call to a
line that disconnected...


If anyone gets this message and knows any dog-rescue people in the area
please forward the information. I am going to continue to try to find info
on web of groups in the area to inform..
