I have a 10 month old cocker spaniel who still is not potty trained.
It seems no matter what we do she will not go outside. We have spent
hours at a time outside and she still will not go. I crate her during
the day, and take her out as soon as we get home, but it is like she
gets distracted and does not go potty. I even stay out with her, but
after an hour or so it is just too long, because there is so much to
do, and then she will go potty on the kitchen floor, when we are out
of the room. I need some help in training her. Any suggestions would
be helpful.

Don't stay out for an hour. 5 minutes, 1 general area, back in and
tethered to you or crated for 10 minutes, and try again. No freedom
until she goes.

Hi:
I potty trained my black lab setting up the clock every 20 minute and
using the phrase "go potty" at that time.
Always take her by the same door so your puppy will know that is the
way to go to the bathroom.
It took me around 3 weeks to potty train my puppy - she was 4 months.
If your puppy had an accident in the kitchen floor make sure that you
clean the area with a good odor remover. I use Nature's Miracle Orange-
Oxy Power. Puppies tend to go to the same spot over and over again.
Good luck!!!
