My friend and I share mice...Sorry I posted this twice as my outlook express
have been giving me trouble.
Anyways we bought 5 mice between the two of us, they are aged 2 weeks apart
(mine are 2 weeks younger) and she has my other female mouse who was not
doing so well with my male mouse (she was dominating him, not letting him
eat, beating him up) so I traded mice with her, my female is now doing very
well with 2 of her females. She gave me her mouse in return (the one whose
eye is no longer), and is in love with my male mouse (the one I would give
her if she wanted it). She has two separate cages so if I give her my male
mouse he will be caged with his sons once they are weaned. And the daughters
will go to me once they are weaned. Its complicated but all 5 mice get along
very well when they are together. Since the male mouse is so submissive, he
won't mate unless he is alone with 1 female. He didn't mate with my original
female mouse and they were together for 2 months.
