I am afraid my cat jumped out of my 17th floor NYC apartment. I can't
find him and even though I had a guard on my window, I'm afraid he got
through.

Does anyone have any advice on how I can try to find my missing cat?

Is there any chance of a cat surviving an 17-story fall?

Thank you.

It may be that your cat is hiding someplace inside the apartment. If
you think that your cat may have gotten out, it may be best to look for
your cat on the ground. Also, is it possible that there are ledges,
etc. on which the cat could have climbed?
