How are you defining "nature"? Because cats are domestic animals descended
from an African wild cat, and mice are a transplanted species originally from
Asia. Human-altered cats hunting non-native mice doesn't sound all that
"natural" to me.

So if it were an Asian bird of prey instead of a cat, you'd be okay with it?
;-)

(Just kidding, btw... <G>)

I feel the same way. I refuse to kill any animals. But I was overrun with
both mice and rats. I used a humane trap to catch them, and I did catch
over 45! Let them all go. Then I rescued two cats. I didn't get the cats
for the mouse/rat problem, but within a short time, the mouse and rats
were gone. I did find the cat playing with a mouse that she had caught. I
tried to save the mouse, and even fed it for about a week, but the poor
little guy died anyway. The cat solution works extremely well. Like I
said, I haven't seen nor heard any signs of rodents since I got the cats,
which BTW, were just kittens when I got them.
