I imagine you are exhausted. And glad to hear harvey is doing as well as
can be expected for what he's been through. Hopefully you will both be able
to rest tonight, peaceful in the knowledge that this is all over with now,
and not something impending. Give harv a kiss and snuggle from me, and a
hug to you. Have a glass of wine, snuggle under a nice soft blanket, and
rest yourself too.

best,

td

I'm glad it went well - that was an ordeal!

What a relief it must be for you.
It's so good when they are home, you can finally crash

Oh no, I hope it didn't cause it

Elegy said in part.......
I am so relieved that this is all over and exhausted...............

No doubt!!! I am so relieved that it is over too. I know you were
anxious about anesthesia. I am glad to hear he is at home and ok. I
was wondering if he would get to come home, but obviously, you are as
able to care for him, as who ever would be caring for him at the clinic
after hours. Fentanyl patches, yikes, that is some heavy duty stuff. I
did not know they gave that to dogs. I was on that for awhile and
finally stopped, because the only time I awoke was to apply another
patch.
My sister's crazy dog was on Prozac. Excuse me, not crazy, the one with
the high prey drive. She was young and it did nothing for her, but of
course Harv's reason for being on it is totally different, and so is
Harv. I really hope it helps.
Sweet dreams to the whole bunch. Speaking of the bunch, are the other
dogs particularly interested in Harv's surgery?
Take care.....

glad to hear he is doing well. to cheer him up you can tell him how Maui
got beaten up by a rooster the other day. that's good for a few laughs.

here's the story to tell Harv....

Maui went out to go potty first thing in the morning. He sees the rooster,
which he always does in the AM and goes after it. The rooster is out of the
pen and decides to finally stand his ground and not run/fly away. Maui gets
to the rooster and the next thing I know SCREAMS/CRIES really loud and comes
flying back to me at lightening speed demanding to be pick up or put inside.
It took me 3 minutes to convince him he still had to go potty and he wasn't
coming in until he did. He went a foot from the front door and quickly
scrambled back inside. I was laughing the whole time! The next day, the
rooster was eaten by some animal (we had 4 chickens and 2 roosters to start,
we have 2 chickens and 1 rooster now).
