Post subject: A guess on a Black Ratsnakes Age
Archived from groups: alt>pets>reptiles>snakes (more info?)
Is their anyway to guestimate the age of a Black Ratsnake? All I know is
that it is currently 55in long and was 48in long on 6/11/05.
Probably a male just from by using the slow taper on the tail technique.

Impossible to tell. How much they are fed is a real big factor. I"d
guess 3+ yrs.

Thanks! So if I don't hibernate him/her and feed alot this snake could get
pretty big?
I've seem some pet Bullsnakes that look like Anacondas, but just don't yet
have alot of knowledge on the Black Rat.
