They're big! My adult male rats weigh about 500g or less, excluding
Ginger who is about 680 g. The "baby" boys, who are 5.5 months, are
about 400g and under, but their family are pretty small. I dare say in-
breeding has a lot to do with their runty sizes.

Apollo and Samson are the same weight as my boy Pancho was at that age.
Pancho is 1 year old now, and since yesterday he weighs 743 grams.

Nooo..I was trying to weigh them every two weeks. :P The boys aren't
fitting into the bowl/dish that sits on the scales very well any more.
Have to tell them to keep their tails in!

Pancho is 1 year old now, and since yesterday he weighs 743 grams.

It doesn't take much for rats to put on the weight. That's why I have my
gang on a strict diet. I used to have fat rats but no more. All my males
except for one are between 430 grams and 530 grams. That one that's not,
Archie is 600 grams but he's been sick and you want extra weight on the
sick and old rats.

I haven't anything to go on with the boys (or girls really), but I
know their mum was about 225 grams when they were 8 weeks old. (Don't
want to know what she is nowdays, though a recent update says she is a
biter now)
Guess I must be feeding them something they like. :D >> Stay informed about: good heavens, they stacked on weight |

Seems she kills mice and bites. Last I heard she was still stuck out
in the laundry as the bf wouldn't allow her into the house. I'm sure
that does wonders for her health and temperament. Dunca has one of the
littles girls sisters (Twizz) for company, so thats up from L's theory
that Dunca didn't need friends. At best all I can say is that she is
alive still :s >> Stay informed about: good heavens, they stacked on weight |

Yikes!
What are you feeding them? Cut out all treats that contain sugar and/or fat.
I'd put them strictly on blocks and fresh veggies daily.
