Jippie!!

My mouse gave birth, and I have 10 tiny pink baby mice, cool huh!

But I'm wondering, since I'm going to seperate them, I will have two tanks.
I have one with woodchips as bedding. and I want to use peat as bedding for
the other tank. But I don't know if mice live well on peat, maybe one of you
guys can help me with that.

don't know anything about peat. but if the woodchips are pine, then you should
know its bad for mice. the recycled paper bedding is good.

and add protein to the mother's diet, like some dry cat food or some hard
boiled egg, as much as she'll eat.

Yes, I know about pine being a bad choise to use as bedding. Pine is a
natural pesticide, and shouldn't be used as bedding for any animal...

I bought some special stuff which should be perfectly balanced food for mice
with babies... Guess she'll live on that.

And my, how those tiny mice grow fast! Better get that extra tank done
fast....

How exciting for you! Congrats to you and the new family! Hope the mommy
and babies are doing well.

Have you considered something like CareFresh, which is recycled paper pulp
(and comes in grey and clean white), as bedding?
