Hi everyone,
I was wondering, in Canada, whether or not this is a lucrative (or
even allowed) business. I have seen rabbit meat at the Loblaws a few
times, but they don't always sell it. Actually it surprised (shocked)
me that time, I was buying a steak, looking down I saw a skinless
rabbit.
Do people in Canada eat rabbits? Or even in US perhaps? These things
breed like nuts, so they could be a pretty decent side-income type of
thing, not to mention just selling as pets, or selling rabbit feet. I
know there are some crazies out there who believe they bring good
luck?
Just wondering, and no, I have never eaten one.
Thanks,
eBrian >> Stay informed about: Rabbits for food |

Rabbits taste like rabbits, not like chicken, or potatos, or ice-cream, just
rabbit. Its very good mind you, but posting this question in a "PET",
newsgroup was highly inapropriate. They are raised for food everywhere.
The same goes for pets.

Please do not call me a troll. A troll is someone looking for
attention for the sole purpose of irritating others or irking them.
I sincerely apologize for offending anyone in this newsgroup. After I
posted my questions, I read through some other messages and realized
this whole 'forbidden' topic. My purpose is not to offend.
I use Google Groups to browse through Usenet and the only newsgroup I
could find related to rabbits was this one.
I have checked a number of sites but mainly I'm just wondering about
the legitmacy of such a business in Canada.

Why not? That's what you are.

Had you read the group's FAQ, you would have certainly known that the topic was
forbidden. In the absence of such a reading, you should have had the common
sense to realize that such a query on a "pets" group was inappropriate.
Therefore, if you're not a troll, you're an idiot; either way, you shall be
targeted for termination by the rabbits of this group.

Then you don't know how to search Usenet as there are other groups that also
pertain to rabbits - including one for breeding.

I think you need to worry about your own legitimacy first. >> Stay informed about: Rabbits for food |
