A friend swears by giving all her bitches folic acid from about the age of 6
months. Just the bog standard human stuff from the local health food shop. I
must admit her bitches seem to have pretty easy matings and whelpings and
the puppies all seem well boned and healthy. She has a toy breed and just
gives one a day with their breakfast.
Does anyone else do this and does anyone know if there's any long term
health problems associated with folic acid in dogs?
