my poor little Katie Scarlet has fleas!
I've looked on the internet but nothing seems extremely effective or safe.
Just wondering if anyone out there has been successful.
I would love to here from you.

Fleas are serious. They can kill your rabbit. They also carry tapeworm.
I strongly advise an immediate trip to a rabbit savvy vet. Here in the
US, I might recommend a product called Advantage. Don't use Frontline,
this product is fatal to rabbits. In any case, you have to administer
the proper size dosage for a rabbit, not cat or dog size.

Your veterinarian may decide to treat the rabbit with the series of
shots instead. I believe that product is called ivermectin. In any
case, lose the Internet find a vet. Fleas can infest your whole house,
not a joke. Please take care of Katie Scarlet
Good luck.

I've used Hartz monthly flea treatment for dogs. It's not safe but
it's effective. I use only up to a maximum of 4 drops on top of the
shoulder blades. It got rid of the fleas but also irritated the skin
leaving a red spot which healed.

If you have an indoor bunny you might just use a flea comb and wash
bunny with a baby shampoo as well as spray the whole house with flea
killer. People say you should not wash a bunny but it's not a problem
if you make sure you dry them completely.

When we moved house Dylan picked fleas up from the carpets. He was quite
poorly and lost a lot of his fur. We used advantage on the back of the neck
and repeated 4 weeks later. He made a full recovery and regained his
beautiful coat quite quickly.
