Hi,

I have a panda butterfly that I think is very healthy in the sense
that he eats well, and is very active. However I have noticed a
significant color change change since I've had him. When I first got
him, his black and white was very distinctive. Now he is more black
and grey. The white is not as "clear".

What happened? My water parameters are fine, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites,
8.2 pH, 15 nitrates. Is there something in the lighting?

Thanks for the help,
Ed

Hmmm... so that's what's happening! I finally dipped into the 'get a bigger
tank' fund and bought a heater about 2 weeks ago, and Morticia the Moor
(Tish the Fish) is getting more of the brassy color on her belly... now I
see!

That is not a panda oranda, sorry but they ripped you off, yes fish change
color and maybe the parents were a panda and an ordinary orange ryunkin or
other oranda, put Pandas have to be bred specific, and he's not one.
