Hello, I'm hopeing to place a male mix breed I've had here for the past
4 1/2 yrs., He was adopted from the animal shelter at about 4 mos. old.
He needs room to exercise and I don't have a fenced yard, and because I
have health problems I can't give him the best care- no, he's not abused
and is fed and stays indoors, but is too big to live as an apartment
dog- I want him to have a home with someone that will let him run and
play outside, and just have the time to spend with him. We live in south
east Michigan, and he is a lab-pit mix- about the size of a boxer dog,
with a short smooth coat, black with brindle. He is not nutered and is
goofy playful, meaning he plays rougher than he knows- he could use a
basic obedience course or just to run around till he's tired. He is
friendly once he knows you- never been aggressive and just barks at
strangers. He get's along with a small mix female dog here but is too
boisterous to realy play with her, not sure how he likes cats, and there
are no children in the home- he may be too rough for small kids but
should do ok with older ones. I will not send him to any humane society
or shelter as they will just put him down. He's not perfect, has a
allergy since his skin gets red when he rolls on the grass or leaves,
and likes to mark his territory in the house (possibly getting nutered
will help) but is a very sweet dog in general, just need's a family with
time to devote to some training, and patience. Thank You & email if you
may be able to help.
