Hi,

We have been feeding our new pup eukanuba as it was recommended by the RSPCA
as being one of the better brands.

Lewis loves it and wolfs it down quickly enough, however more than one
person has mentioned to me that they have stopped feeding their dog this as
it makes them hyper active.

I'm starting to believe that this might be the case with our dog. Anybody
experienced this or is it just nonsense ?

Thanks,

Andy.

I guess every dog is different, but I have to say if all we had to do with
our puppy (now 3 yrs) was change her food so she wouldnt be so hyper as a
pup we would have done it. Thats just the nature of most labs, I once heard
them described on a dog training show as hyper social. They have tons of
energy but with time and age they seem to calm down some but they are very
active dogs.

My Uncle breeds and runs the local Jack Russell Terrier (don't even get him
started on this "Parson Russell" nonsense) rescue in St. Louis, and he uses
Eukanuba and recommends it. His dogs are hyper, but all Jack Russels are
hyper, so who knows if it affects them. We use Nutro Natural Choice for our
Lab, but only because others have reported good results with it, and we feel
comfortable with the listed ingredients.
