Archived from groups: rec>pets>dogs>activities (more info?)

Greetings from Nome, Alaska! Today, an extremely chilly -31.4F!

We are getting closer to the kick-off of this years walking event. Only
11 days until the official start of Idita-Walk 2006 where your time can
be logged. Only 26 days remain to get registered and paid in order to
receive the finishers T-shirt or dog leash (quite an accomplishment!).
For those of you who have already registered and paid, *THANK-YOU* for
your on-going support. For those who haven't done so quite yet, we
highly recommend that you do so as soon as possible. Getting good amounts of
exercise is fundamental to healthy living, and walking is an excellent
source with many wonderful benefits! In our letter today, we'll provide
some links we've found that explain the health and fitness benefits of
regular, brisk walking. Also, we will outline just exactly where your
registration dollars have been spent over the past 2 years. And, as
always, please visit the site often to check for new articles, pictures,
testimonials, etc.
