went well! I called yesterday afternoon and they were all doting on
her, wanted to know her favorite food to try to tempt her to eat and
everything. this morning when we went to get her everyone in the clinic
new who she was already and they said she was doing great! already
throwing hissy fits about being stuck in a cage and throwing her food
at them.
i took her carrier lid off on the way home (i never do this during
normal car rides, so don't worry, but i had a nightmare last night and
needed to see and cuddle her), fuzz was so mellow and just laid there
all stretched out while i rubbed on her, even let me check out that
bald belly!
she pretty much is just laying on a towel and letting me love on her,
even give her unlimited kisses on the nose! i gave her pain meds (i
heard the teeth grinding from across the room, but i know she waited
until she got home to do it, poor thing!) and some greens, then put her
back in her cage for a bit, so I need to go let her out again so she
knows she's loved.

She's getting the princess treatment. I made her a bed in the bottom
half of her carrier with a towel and set it up on top of the cage in
her favorite spot (she likes that I can reach over and give her nose
rubs while she surveys her domain). She won't even get up and go to the
litterbox unless I carry her. . . been soaking up the attention all
day. I'm a little worried though because even with pain meds (metacam)
I've noticed some tooth grinding, less than earlier today, but still
enough to unnerve me.
How much should she be eating at this point? She's been nibbling greens
with interest, but never more than a little bit at a time and I'd say
she's eaten about half a huge (about 8"-9") leaf today. She also hasn't
been drinking, so I've pretty much just been dipping her greens in
water every once in a while, I even had them in her bowl (which I
brought to her) for a while to get her to drink . . . didn't work!

So glad it went well! I will continue sending good vibes her way for a
speedy recovery. Sounds like you are treating her like a queen and
she's going to get spoiled with all the royal treatment!
I don't know about her appetite. I would think it might take a few days
for her to return to a normal appetite. She's had major surgery, and I
would guess that it probably just takes a little time for her to feel
like herself. It's good she's nibbling on what you give her. I'll send
good thoughts that she picks up eating too!

My 4 month old kitten got spayed also yesterday. She doesn't seems to
be in pain but I gave her the med as instructed. She's eating with
gusto and had a healthy BM. I have her caged so she doesn't tear
anything by running and jumping. Maybe cats have a lower pain
threshold. >> Stay informed about: the dreaded spay . . . |

Fuzz is starting to liven up a bit. She came and layed on my bed with
me for a while today and chewed my pillowcases. :)
I think she's started to eat something other than greens and drink a
bit on her own too. She played a little today, but it was wierd to have
her so mellow!
Oh and the best part of my day . . . TONS of bunny kisses from my
little girl, and she almost never kisses. She covered my hand at least
twice and hopped in my lap for a few times, even if it was only for a
second. I feel like we're bonding a little more everyday.

What a relief that that is over. I know how that goes, waiting for the
call to let you know that everything went perfectly...
Hope she's still doing great.

I hope so! My dad panicked when my mom talked about bringing Elvis in
for a few days because he was like "WHAT IF THEY BOND? YOU CAN'T DO
THAT TO HER!" I told him not to worry, but I thought it was so cute.
Everyone has gotten more attached to her since Tabitha's passing.
I'm so excited about sending your little bun to you!
