Post subject: Question....
Archived from groups: alt>pets>rabbits (more info?)

Well,I know this is a topic that has been discussed many times, but I
honestly don't know what to think about it.
Does anybody know for sure if our influenza or a simple cold can be
transmitted to our bunnies somehow?Either by kissing their noses or just
holding them?

Vets (the ones I spoke to...)say that is not common or possible for that
matter,we humans can only be contagious to guinea pigs and to ferrets for
sure but not to rabbits....
Is this true? What do you guys know about it?I have a minor cold,so does my
husband and I'm scared because we are holding the bunnies and of course
kissing their noses etc.As far as I know it's confirmed that Ferrets DO
catch our colds or flu,but what about bunnies....

Any answer is greatly appreciated
Thanks
Shan

I dont think so, but my hair has been coming out for years, now my bunnys are
sheding like crazy, is it me ? <g>

As far as I have read there are some very obscure health issues that can be
transmited from bunny to owner but not vica versa.
About as obscure as there being a feral collony of kangaroos in central park,
or of UK bunnys suffering from bot flys.

Put your feet up, cuddle a bunny and relax :)

What do you do when you see an endangered animal eating an endangered plant?

Is there another word for synonym?
