Good morning-
On the topic of new breeds, as some of you know, this is my personal
favorite.
some of you know of me but do not know me. You talk about me and my
life, but have never emailed me.
Oh, i am not upset about it. Being over 50 years old, i do know that
there are a heck of a lot of mean children on the face of this earth.
No matter.
I came here today, because i also know that sometimes there is an
individual amongst all these readers who really wants to understand or
learn or communicate with others who might have something to offer
folks when it comes to experience and picking an older persons brains.
I do not mind communicating with folks who are sincere. so if any of
you out there in cyber space wish to talk dogs, genetics, breeding,
new breeds, recessive, dominante genes, dog training, show, grooming
or what have you. I would be delighted. >> Stay informed about: new breeds |

You're the "Shepalute" lady, right?

I'd be delighted to read the results of the OFA, CERF, BAER and other
testing that you've done on your "breed." I found nothing under either
"Alsatian Shepalute" or just plain "Shepalute" in the OFA database. I'm sure
a fine, upstanding breeder like yourself would never consider breeding large
breed dogs like GSD and Malamutes without hip tests, eye and hearing tests,
as well as whatever other tests are necessary for both breeds and whatever
else you've brought into the mix. I'd also be delighted to read your sales
contract with particular emphasis on genetic testing and guarantees, your
spay/neuter requirements, your take-back policy, etc. If you can't delight
me in these ways, I guess I'll remain a "meanie" who thinks breeding mixes
for cash without concern for their health, temperament and long-term
well-being, fancy sales pitch or not, is nothing short of evil.

Lois
This "is" a discussion group with a leaning toward educating and helping
newcomers to the world of dog, make informed decisions.
They don't "you" pick a subject from those you list, give us your thoughts
and start a discussion? There is no doubt, you might receive differing
points of view, but that is after all, what this group is all about.
Since I happen to be one who does not know you, maybe you'd like to tell us
about your history in dogs as a start.
By the way, since this "is" an open discussion group, we slightly frown upon
private emailing to discuss a subject matter. That doesn't help anyone learn
or read different points of view.
There are many "very" long time dog people who look in on this group
regularly. Even though I might hate to admit my age, I started showing dogs
in the '50's so I might not be amiss in thinking I "am" one of those long
time dog people.
You will also find some not-so-old, but extremely knowledgeable folk on this
group, who look in regularly and obviously have done their homework in the
realm of dogs.
Feel free to start a conversation.

Cool! What's your favorite gene? How do you train your
recessive genes not to submissive pee on themselves?
