Just whistle a little tune with less than about 5 notes frequently.
They love to copy you to get attention usually. This may take months
at first until they realize they can do it. It may never happen but
the little tune can be pleasant anyway and the bird will get to know
you by the tune.

I agree with PG .... heh, my tiel sings or I mean whistles "Two bits and
a hair cut", he also whistles the Austin Powers theme song - You should
hear friends and family laugh when he whistles that tune!
