My corn snake has mites ( I think)

I am pretty sure that what my snake has are mites(I talked to a man from a
local reptile store). What I am still unsure of is can mites transfer to
humans, cats and/or harm anybody/thing in my home. Ever since I dicovered
the mites I have been paranoid and feel like they are crawling all over
me...I don't want yo get sick nor do I want them to spread to my cat!

so why not treat the snake?
