I know male peacocks are beautiful while females are drab, are there
any color differences between male and female mbunas? I'm thinking of
buying some online from aquariumfish.net and don't want to ask for a
male and a couple of females then find out that the females aren't
colorful. Thanks!

most of your Mbunas have nicely coloured females. most of the zebras are as
pretty or prettier in the female form. do a google search for some mbuna
picture galleries and compare for yourself.
