My comment was perfectly clear, that you choose to not understand it is your
problem. Weather here that most residents would refer to as COLD, is just
as I described, teens at night, 30's during the daytime. I went on to say
that weather was 'not common' here. 'perhaps a week here or there during
the winter.'

And your posting the weather for Orange County, N.C. has exactly what to do
with me?

'Cause of those *tricky* *microclimates* right there in the

find climate data for your immediate location? Would that
be "never?"

You have no idea in which county I live, so posting the climate for Orange
County was simply your way to disparage anything and everything I post.
Obviously you aren't familiar with our weather patterns. The *usual*
snow/ice lines are pretty distinct, pretty familiar, and pretty predictable
to the locals. And I have never heard anyone refer to this area as 'the
flatlands'. We have the mountains, the piedmont, and the coastal plains.
No one who actually lives here refers to any area as 'the flatlands.'

No, it was a way to demonstrate what the weather actually is
in your neck of the woods. There's very little variation in
that area - you have to go to the coast or to the mountains
to find much difference.
I gather that you actually do deal with microclimates.
There's the climate inside your house, the climate in your
car, and the climate in the mall.
Hey! Which one's "normal?"

Hell, *I* would hold it until spring if I had to do it outside, no

Nope, I said many times that a distant county from our own sponsered the
pups. That we had checked with our own county and didn't get any sort of
guidance or assistance from them. I also stated that the reason the adopt a
thon took such a long time was the distance to travel. Same thing with the
puppy visits to the vet and the home visits. Seems like someone other than
me has a problem with reading comprehension. Each home visit Robin did
involved traveling a minimum of 45 minutes each way. But more often than
not, the location of the adoptive home was an hour or more away from our
homes. Also the reason my baby-sitting the boys so she was able to
accomplish all this ended up being hours and hours of baby-sitting time on
my part. When you have to figure in at least 2 hours of just driving time.
I'm through with you two. Merely wanted to point out that no matter what I
say, Frick and Frack find fault.
The End.

Huh? I've seen you reference Franklin County several times (and I
only made note of that because I lived in Franklin County IN for
several years, so it stuck in my head). I apologize if I was
incorrect, but sheesh, that's hardly indicative of a huge moral
failing.

I live on the praire as well, NW MN. It's -14F here right now with an
expected
low of -21 tonight. Add about another -20 for the wind chill.
My dog (Gretchen - Great Dane) goes out for only as long as absolutely
necessary.

What beautiful dogs! I take it Gretchen is the black one? My sister lives
just north of Minneapolis. You have been having rather cold weather up your
way. Are you as far north as International Falls? Beautiful country up
your way. I do miss the Midwest, originally from Wisconsin. Once again,
you have absolutely gorgeous dogs.
