My wife and I have two cats, one a slightly portly female called Teeks, and the
other a ginger tom called Gizmo. One summer we were out in the back garden with
some friends, it was a nice sunny day and we were sitting around enjoying the
sunshine. Now we have a 4 ft fence at one end of the garden, and Gizmo regularly
leaps up onto the top and goes off into the next doors garden. So this day he
does exactly that and went off. So now Teeks, who is not normally what you call
agile, has a go at doing this too. So she leapt up and gripped the top of the
fence with her front paws. Unfortunately she could not drag the rest of herself
up, so she started scrabbling with her back paws to get herself up She did this
for about 10 seconds till she realised that we were howling with laughter at
her.So then at this sound, still hanging by her front paws, she turned her head
to look at us. This got us all going even more, so she then dropped from the
fence and skulked back into the house. It still makes me laugh to think of it
now :-)
