Does anyone know the 'REAL' reason behind cats that [while being cuddled]
like to try and bite the very end of our noses.

All I can think of is they don't like the air that comes out when we exhale?

They are trying to catch your nosehairs as they flutter in the wind
of your exhalations. Try trimming them - or braiding them, throwing
them over your shoulders, and tying them behind your neck.
