There was a monkfish tail at the supermarket tonight when I popped in for
some bread quite late, going spare on it's sell-by-date. Convert the
currency for USA by doubling it. It cost 7.65 and I got it for 0.50. My
freezer is full of such bargains and no more room but how could I resist it?

Hmm, now how should I cook it for them? Poached, baked in foil?
I am particularly happy to get a white fish for KFC, given her kidney
issues. Fish is really expensive here normally, so I trawl the supermarkets
when they are about to close to see if I can get some for her.

You peer through the window and notice this crazy southern lady,
sitting in her car gluing pipe cleaners to her cheeks near her nose.
She's wrapped in a black cape and now she's
applying....what?.....ears, cat ears to her head. But wait, she's
getting out and walking up to Tweed's front door. She's knealing as
if in prayer and if you listen closely you can hear her say "meow"
"meow". You shake your head and chuckle as you walk away. You look at
KFC and Boyfie and mutter, "Just another crazy cat lady" <sigh>

BonBon already has one of those costumes up and ready to go complete and
ready with cat's meow. Take her with you. You'll be more convincing.

I think I might have some baking soda somewhere in the depths of my
cupboard, thanks for the idea.
That's the very last time I get some monkfish on its sell by date for my
cats.
It stank when I cooked it. Fish does, though, but it was not OK.
It was so disgusting , the smell from it I nearly threw up.
