Post subject: breeding mice outside in winter
Archived from groups: alt>pets>mice (more info?)

Hi apm!

I'm breeding mice in a bathtub filled with soil and plants outside
the window for my snake. I wonder if it is ok to do that during
winter. While mice do live in winter naturally, my bathtub would be
more exposed to cold air at the sides. I bought some hay and put it
in an upside down bucket, but a storm last night blew it down
(probably with some mice). I would have to fasten it somehow. Or
think of something different, as there is moisture condensing on the
bucket walls. Usually the temperature gets down to -5 - -15 C here
in winter.
