I'm not certain I understand. Are you wanting to interbreed Robs and
Syrians?
Because that makes no sense at all. Syrians are the largest variety and Robs
are some of the smallest.
But I will say this, Please leave the breeding to the experts. Particularly
when it comes to Syrians.
They are vey difficult to breed. Knowing the signs of interest in female
Syrian hamsters is more than just
tricky. If two hamsters are introduced at the wrong time it can end in
disaster in a single minute.
Breeders lose dozens of males every month to angry females.
In the wild male hamsters have the room to retreat when a female comes after
them.
A luxury they don't have in captivity.
I'm not kidding. I'm trying to put this as delicately as possible. Don't
consider breeding syrian hamsters
unless you're willing to get some blood on your hands. If you're ready to
commit we can find a way to contact
each other in private. My wife and I had a very successful breeding program
for several years.
It took much blood and sweat to get it right and it's not something I care
to divulge to everyone who can read it online.
This is a very sensitive subject that has come up in this group more times
than I can count.
I can not recall any time that a novice attempted to breed Syrians that it
didn't end in misery.
