Archived from groups: alt>pets>parrots>breeding (more info?)

Beware of thieves in the night.
They don't care about anything or anyone.
They broke into my aviary's not for the birds I have but they raided the
nest boxes.
They left the nest boxes wide open and all the doors open so the birds I
keep can escape .
I am one of the lucky ones in my area (Nottingham) the birds didn't fly
away, they was terrorised.
The thieves got away empty handed because the birds have not breed this
year.
If they did get away with eggs or even chicks they wouldn't survive.
They got pass padlocks, security lights and a seven feet fence.
Now I have up graded my security with all new locks and padlocks which are
all clearly visible,
new security lights which light all my aviaries like it was day light.
The best thing which was a door alarm which is well hidden and key coded and
I have fitted a baby listening monitor .
I do expect them back...but this time me and my three dogs are ready for
them( I hope).
