The breeder came by today to drop off the babies - they're lively little
boys, and very well socialised. They're also already keen rodentists - the
breeder said all her rats seem to have that habit! They were wrestling
earlier in their new cage, but now they're fast asleep in the corner - I
think they've had a long day. Neither my boyfriend nor I nor the breeder
can tell them apart - I think one of them has bigger creases in the ears,
and the other one has the top of the ears folded down slightly more, but
it's very hard to tell between them. I think they're going to have to be
"Watson'N'Crick" as a pair until they're easier to tell apart!

CongRATS!!! Soon enough, you'll be able to tell them apart by their
unique personalities. :)

I hope your rats have settled in well. I like their names too.
Can you tell them apart now?

I can, sort of, if I hold them up next to one another and closely inspect
their ears - but otherwise, no :-) One is slightly more manic and jumpier
than the other, and I think one might have slightly darker fur, but it's
going to be a waiting game, I think!

They're already showing some differences - although they're both very
friendly and super-tame, one is jumpier than the other - if he hears a
sudden noise, or something else surprises him, he leaps in the air and
starts running around to work out what it was. Doesn't help that his
brother seems to take great pleasure in making him jump, though :-)
