Well you poo in water don't you? :-)

Does he spent much time out of his cage? I don't think Greys like
fouling their own nest.
My GAG never poos in his cage. He will wait until he is let out in the
morning and then lets it go
on to a newspaper placed under his perch. I suspect he knows that you
give attention when he
poos in his water. This may reinforce this activity.
Unless his cage is ridiculously small it must be possible to place his
water where he cannot perch over it. Perhaps you can put a sand filled
container in his cage away from his food and water and
encourage him to use that.

Just my 2ps worth.

Hi Tina,
Just try and ignore your grey for some time.Do not give any
kind of attention to what he does.Do not keep water through out the day
for some time.Instead give water once in the morning and once in the
evening and remove it after sometime.
