One of my mice is yellow and has a swollen stomach. I assume it's a liver
problem. Has anyone seen this before? Any speculation on whether it's
treatable? (I have taken mice to my cats' vets before but haven't been
impressed with the care) I don't want him to suffer. Not sure what to do for
him, though.

Any advice?

Are there any other symptoms?
Diahroeah?

It could be alsmost anything, but I fear it could be KRV (Kilham rat virus -
contageous) which could have come from a wild rodent........are they kept
indoors?
It could be MHV (mouse hepatitis virus) which is also highly contageous, and
in both cases, death is the usual outcome. ***I could be completely wrong***
as I have no medical knowledge, but a brief search on mouse jaundice brings
back some interesting results.
In any case I would segregate him from cagemates and give the
cage/toys/bowls etc a good scrubbing in disinfectant before the other(s) go
back in.

Mice are prone to tumours and it could easily be one in his liver which is
causing the jaundice.

Ring your vet and ask his advice before you take him down, but I fear that
the only thing they can do for him is to put him to sleep.
