My husband and I recently acquired 2 breeding pair of wutas. Noticed
immediately that there was something special about these birds. Now I am
a bit of a novice, just recently making this a hobby, whereas my husband
has been into pigeons for the better part of 23 years. This is his first
experience with wutas too. We have a lot of questions to ask, and are
looking for any one kind enough, and patient enough to lend a hand.
We have just recently weaned a "baby" and although he is not old enough to
do any high flying, we've been taking him out in our pasture and calling
him to us. Started at 10 yds, then 15 yds and are now about 50 yds, from
my husband to me, or vice versa. We're really not sure if this is the
right thing to do. At what stage does he take to the air? He's our one
and only, and does not have the benefit of the "veterans" to help him
"cue". He doesn't seem to be too interested in "droppers", but he is
extremely affectionate and attached to us. Can we be droppers, and how
high does my husband have to throw me to get the wutas attention? Do I
have to flap my arms? (just joking!)
Any and all information is very much appreciated!!! >> Stay informed about: Any Wuta trainers/lovers out there? |

Hello. My name is Tony Fante. I have raised Voutes for several years

I believe that Wutas are called Vouta in Greece. If you search on Google
under Vouta, you can find a site or two with some background information on
this breed. Mike.
