Hi,
Live outside of Boston.
Woodpecker doing a number on our Cedar siding.
Questions:
a. Are they prone to one color, or colors seem to have no effect with them
?
Will be repainting the house after some new siding is put up, and am
wondering if a brownish paint might, or might not, be making matters worse ?
Opinions ?
b. Anyone have any good idea for keeping them away ?
c. Have heard about a product called Terror Eyes which I guess is a fairly
large balloon, with holographic owl's eye printed on it.
Anyone have any experience with this gadget. (Quite pricey)
Thanks,

I can't answer your specific question, but I do have one of my own (for a
reason). Is the woodpecker actually drilling holes, or is it just using
your house as a sounding board? The reason I ask is: If it is the former,
then you should check carefully to see if there are any insects (such as
carpenter ants) in your siding.

Hi Bob,
I have a house with cedar siding and lots of woodpeckers.
I don't know about house colors. but I would suggest hanging a bunch of
suet feeders around the house. Woodpeckers seem to prefer suet over siding.
I've been living with woodpeckers for the last 25 years and I think the
suet idea works best.
