If i get an aquarium and brown mice, what is the best thing to put on the
bottom ?

I think I heard somewhere that wood chips might not be a great idea ?

Thanks, tim

pine shavings contain phenols that over a long period overload a mouse's liver.
it shortens their lifespan by about a fourth or so. I've seen mice near death
removed from pine shavings and placed in other litter recover and go on to live
another six months. don't use pine bedding. some good recycled-paper beddings
are available, as are other types.

Pine and cedar chips are bad. Aspen chips are fine. My local Petco sells
big bags of aspen chips and although it's more expensive than pine chips,
it's less expensive than Carefresh.
