I don't know, Ray... but his bird might be over 5 years old... and in
that case, after 5y/o, according to Tony, amazons will NOT learn new words

For your information marco, my double yellow head Amazon is 11 years old, in
fact today. And has not said anything new in 6 years, so my opinion holds
true in my case. In a little over 3 years, I will find out if it holds true
to my yellow nape, as that is going to be hard as she practically knows
everything she needs now. And yes there will always be some bird who will
not fit the norm. I have alot of people who see my yellow nape at only 2
years old, and say that she says alot more than their yellow napes. Plus I
can tickle her belly, play tug of war. give her raspberries on any part of
her, place her on her back and play dead and many other things, does this
fit the norm for an amazon? In alot of cases, No.

You're defining the 'norm' by ONE of your birds? I have 2 amazons, in
their 20's and they still pick up new words here and there. A lady I
know (related to my SO's family) has a yellow nape in her late
30's/early 40's who still picks up new words once in a while.
So, since the majority is the 'norm'... then your bird is a minority in
this case. Get my flow? How many thousands of amazon owners have you
interviewed to come to your conclusion that amazon parrots will not
learn new words past age 5? Does this apply to other parrot species too?
If not, then why? We want to know.

And this has to do what with what? Some birds like playing hard, others
don't... some like to be touched all over, others don't. What is, if
any, your point?

Marco, you are another person who needs help. You read every one of my
posts out of context as if you were making up your own story to make me look
bad. You will be another person I will be praying for.

So typical of you Tony... every time you get called up on your bullshit
you pull out the 'i'll be praying for ya' card, instead of refuting what
I said with FACTS.
Don't pray for me, I'm not the one that feels the need to punish my
birds when they behave like the wild flock animals they are.

Oh your birds are wild HUH, so you can't touch them or hold them in your
hand? Do they attack you everytime you come near the cage? This is what a
wild birds do. But I suppose you wouldn't know that.

They better not disrespect me by biting me or attacking me, otherwise
I'll punish them by squirting them and then shoving them in a box!
</sarcasm>
Tony, the ability to comprehend the concept of wild vs. domesticated
animals is beyond you (as is 99% of parrot husbandry). Next time you
pray, ask Dog to turn your brain swith 'on'.
