Why don't you take her outside every few hours when you are home, just for a
break and a stretch. As she gets older you want to keep her limber. Also,
that holding of urine can't be good for her urinary system.
Even though my dog doesn't go that frequently, I always take her around the
block or at least to the yard for 10 minutes every few hours. She get two
very long walks for exercise daily, never fail. (25 min)
If he is her caregiver and you aren't home, there's not much you can do, but
it seems very unkind to me.
