Hi,

I am setting up a cage to house a single or possibly pair of BRB's and need
some advice on heating. The cage is a vision #322 wich is 36"W x 23"D x 21"H
and I would like to use an under "tank" type heater. I really would rather
just buy than build one from flex tape and stuff so which one is best and
what size would be appropriate?

Also, I got a hood which holds two incandecent bulbs and one 24" flourecent
bulb and have a few questions about lighting. I am using a 24" full spectrum
bulb, and on the incandecents I was planning a 150watt full spectrum/UV for
day use and a 100watt "moonlight" type bulb for night. I am planning on
putting the 150W bulb opposite of where I use under tank heater to provide a
gradient and a basking spot. Is this the way to go or any better
suggestions?

Finally, I am in Miami, FL so heat and humidity are not a problem we have
them in spades, LOL. So since cage will be inside my fear is it getting too
hot rather than not heating it enough.

Thanks,

P.S. Anyone going to Tampa show? I was planning on driving but not sure how
big it is and it is a 4 hour drive each way? I may pick up my BRB there if
its a good show. Anyone going or been there before? Is it worth the drive.

As for heat mats, measure the cage and then decide. 23" deep means you would
need a 22 or 23" wide heat mat. Look for one that would cover 1/3 of the
cage. Use a thermostat or dimmer to regulate the heat-be sure and test it
out before putting your brb in it!

I would not use a heat light with the mat for a BRB as they are quickly
overheated. a heat mat should be plenty. Use either/or but not both.
