<gray-brown tabby rises to honor her sister>
Magnolia Blossom, House of McGuigan (known affectionately, and
preferably, as
Maggie) was a purebred Abyssinian, who spent several years as a
breeding queen. She was being retired when she saw momEva and Paw at
the international cat show in Georgia. It was love at first sight and
home she came. Maggie was always REGAL, except that ... well, to put
it mildly, she was somewhat less than graceful and had a bad habit of
drooling over her food. She did her best to maintain her regal bearing
during "lapses" and we did our best to play along - but it was very
hard at times not to laugh.
She was a good mother and did most of the work raising Roswell, after
momEva and our hoominsisfur brought Roswell home. She also was an
intrepid
explorer, and managed to visit virtually every horizontal surface in
her OneTrooHome in the seven years she spent with us. When she wasn't
eating or misjudging a jump in her explorations, her favorite
"activity" was smurgling next to Mom.
There is an empty spot on the bed and in our hearts. >> Stay informed about: Tribyoot to Magnolia Blossom (Maggie) |
