I was wondering if anyone could offer me some pointers in pet cremation. I
am going to take him in for a private service on Wednesday.

Thanks in advance.

Oh Russ I am so so sorry ((((( Russ ))))

When Pete passed away I opted for the cremation. My vet recommended it and
he called me a few days later when it was done. I couldnt see him before,
he was already gone, they lost him while trying to save him on the operating
table. What I got back was a little box with a brass nameplate on it. I
put him by his favorite spot the bed in the guest room. I wouldnt have done
it any other way Russ. It hurt bad that he was gone, but it wasnt as hard
on me knowing he was still with me. Russ I will be thinking of you. Thor
was a beauty and a great companion. Take a few minutes and read Rainbow
Bridge. http://indigo.org/rainbow/ (I am sure you have read it before, but I
got some comfort from it at that time) Take care Russ

Your friend

Russ, I cannot tell you how much sympathy I feel for you. Having
lost both Rockzie and Buster, my vet took care of the cremation. Down
here in Florida we were given a choice of ceramic boxes and they
provided a brass plate. When we retire to the Mts. of N.C. we will
then spread their ashes but now they are kept with us'

We feel that our puppies are doing the things that always made them
happy and are waiting for us to join them. Our thoughts go out to youl

Hello,

Thank you all for your condolences. Thor was my dearest companion. He was
all of these things and more, right to the end. Loyal, Brave, Gentle,
Polite, Well mannered, Clownish, Powerful, Obedient, Protective, Calm and
Confident, Loving and tender, I loved him so much.
We took him to be cremated today and we now have him back at home with us.
He will always be with us forever wherever we go. We do feel alot better now
that he is back home.

Thanks for the website Bob, I will build it up soon, when the hurting eases
up on me, atm, it's very hard to look at the pictures.
Thanks for the feedback and link Ang and Carolyn, I chose a mother of pearl
urn, I am going to engrave a brass plaque for it. I got some clay paw prints
too :)

Warmest regards,

Russell

Ah Russ man....I'm so sorry to hear about Thor :-( Just reading this makes
me tear up. Creamation is the best way to go imo, you will always have them
by your side. Gator & Lexus sit here next to me at the computer.

He was a special boy with a special owner

Russ, I know you have a lot of pain at this time but believe me you
will talk about Thor in the future telling everyone what a great dog
he was and all the things that made him special. We were telling Rudy
and Rachel this afternoon how much Buster hated pickles on his
hamburger. He could eat the burg in 20 seconds flat and there would
not be a bite mark on the pickle that was left on the plate. Ir's the
little things that you think about that give you comfort. You gave
him a good life which he will always remember and he will love forever
as you will love him. Take comfort in the great memories.

Carolyn

Hi Russ

Just wanted to check on you and the family. Hope all is well. How is the
little one doing? Is Loki doing ok? Check in and let me know if you get
some time please.
