I've never blamed anybody else for them. You implied that
you're not responsible for the flame wars you're involved
in, and you couldn't be more wrong.
I'm still unclear on why you want to revive this one
(speaking of responsibility).

Have I blamed anyone for my actions? Where? When?

Melinda, I dont FLAME anyone . If I'm involved in a flame war, its because
people are flaming me. Thats certainly NOT my responsibility. i try my
best to discuss issues, not how stupid other posters are.

Thanks for the passive-aggressive demonstration. That,
friends, is how it's done.
You revived a topic that's led to flame wars every single
damned time it's come up in the past. Grow the hell up.

BethinAk,
I dunno, they apparently weren't next door neighbors, it was a small
dog. My comment is about mayors. We supposedly have one in my one
horse town. She is usually sitting on a bar stool in one particular
bar. She proudly proclaims she is going to die there. Perhaps this
mayor was like ours. Hey, I don't recall voting for our mayor. Maybe
she is self appointed:)

melinda, your logic eludes me once again. oh, wait, its just another excuse
to insult someone!! your specialty!

I am capable of having civil conversation about the article. Perhaps its
not me that needs to "grow the hell up". >> Stay informed about: Texas Mayor Resigns Amid Pet Dog Scandal |

Beth, what you did is functionally indistinguishable from
trolling. When you revive a thread that has turned into a
flame-a-thon every single time it's come up, if you do not
anticipate the same thing happening again you're just not
that bright. As it happens I don't think you're stupid, and
that if you'd thought about it for .5 seconds you'd realize
that there's every reason to expect the same outcome this
time. So, it seems to me that either you're trolling or
thoughtless. Or maybe you're stupid, but as I said I don't
think that's the case.
Your entire "Who, little ol' *me*?" schtick strikes me as
entirely disingenuous.

Perhaps it feels "functionally indistinguishable from trolling" to you
because you are inable to discuss this topic rationally. If thats the case,
I suggest you ignore the thread.
I guess, Melinda, I must be an eternal optimist because it never occured to
me that this thread would turn into a flame-fest. In fact, I only ever
remember one disastrous conversation about this and it involved Leah
actually stealing a dog she felt was neglected. But perhaps I misremember.
In any case, i still find it an interesting concept to blame the OP if the
thread they started turns into a flamefest. I never thought of it from that
perspective, but I'm still inclined to believe its the responsibility of
each poster to behave appropriately. >> Stay informed about: Texas Mayor Resigns Amid Pet Dog Scandal |

If they do it unknowingly I don't see any reason to think
they have any responsibility. If they can't learn from
history, well, then they can't learn from history and
they're not responsible, either.
I apologize for the tone of my previous postings on this
subject. They were inappropriate. I do still think that
you're trolling and that you shouldn't, but that doesn't
justify my blasting you the way I did and I'm sorry.

Perhaps I just have a short memory, but I really only remember one
conversation about this topic that I participated in.
