Actually, the news reader is Windows Mail which replaced the
old Outlook Express that I was used to, from before.
I let Windows Mail hijack my EarthLink e-mail account so that
APR and any APR/EarthLink e-mails are in one place. And, I
don't have to log on to EarthLink to read anything. I just
click my bunny desktop icon and *bingo* there it is.
I like the idea of having additional options on the news-servers.
I doubt I will be using EarthLink for anything but for APR. I will
keep the new e-mail active for APR people and have uninstalled
the EarthLink dial up software. I'm glad I bought the cheap dial up
package as things are working with no problem with my high-speed
broadband. I do understand the I have some kind of download or
access limitations which I do not seem to have experience yet.
I am having problems making EarthLink work with my back-up computers
(i.e. laptop) but, I will concentrate on that later. I am just gonna sit
back
and enjoy this for now. Hard to believe it has been exactly a year since
Comcast and Time Warner yanked our newsgroups away. I suspect it
will be a matter of time that EarthLink will do the same thing. (as my luck
will have it). Hope I did not jinx you guys. :)
