Tarantulas, while creepy looking, are fairly harmless, except for their bite. Tarantulas are insect eaters and nocturnal. Keeping tarantulas as pets has its own challenges, including parasites infections and eating disorders. Consider these tarantula facts before taking a tarantula as a pet.

« You might want to try changing it's diet, mealworms instead of chrickets perhaps.It might be ready to molt. Usually they refuse food a couple of weeks before they shed their old skin. Also, some ref.. »

hi all... just a quick question... tarantulas aren't very common here in australia as pets, nothing compared to overseas... just wondering do you have vet's that would look over a sick tarantula? i don't have any sick ones but just curious if they exist.. i know theres specialists for reptiles and..

I'm on the eve of the "march of the tarantula". Every year around the end of September through mid October, Central Texas is bombarded by an over abundance of crickets. Also occurring, is a progressive emergence of tarantulas. I might see one here soon, but by mid October it will be unusual not to..

« Cori, There are several different reasons for the above mentioned problem with your T's leg. (By the way, it is cool how a T can regenerate digits like that, isn't it?) Anyway, many times the causes.. »

I got a Rose Hair Tarantula from my sister, I cleaned the cage out and set it back up. Now the tarantula hasnt moved, stays under its hiding spot with its legs tucked under it. I have touched it but it makes no movement, just stays still with its legs tucked under it. What do I do? Please email if..
